The school portal lives at portal.voone.ru. Keep the two products apart in your head: the Voone app is what your student carries on the water, the portal is where you run the teaching.
Signing in without a password
There is no password. You type in your work email, receive a six-digit code and enter it. That is deliberate rather than fashionable: a school is registered from a work mailbox, and the code proves the mailbox is yours. Nothing is created that can later be lost along with the person who chose it.
The school and the trial
After the first sign-in the portal asks for two things: a name and a plan. Plans and the length of the trial come from the server — the portal stores no prices of its own, so what you see on screen cannot drift away from what you are invoiced.
Whoever creates the school becomes its owner. That is the only role nobody has to grant.
The trial lasts 7 days with every feature of the plan available. It outranks payment: if you pay on day one, the remaining trial days are not taken away from you. A contract is signed when the school decides to stay.
The order that saves time
The sections of the portal depend on each other, so build them in one direction:
1A course. This is the programme: modules and lessons. Until a course exists there is nothing for a stream to teach.
2A stream. The group that walks through that course between two dates. It owns its chat, its assignments and its webinars.
3Students. People already in your school can be enrolled directly; everyone else is invited with a link.
4Assessment. Question sets, assignments and the review queue sit on top of a stream that already exists.
Working backwards is possible, it just sends you one step back at every step.
What the portal will not do for you
Accounts are not created by schools. A person signs up for Voone themselves, and the invitation only attaches that person to your school and to a stream.
This is a decision, not a gap. An account created on someone's behalf would belong to the school rather than to them — and parting ways with a teacher would turn into an argument about whose mailbox it really is.
One consequence is worth knowing early: until a student signs in for the first time, the portal knows nothing but the address from the invitation. The name appears after that first visit.
How the portal is laid out
The sidebar has three groups, and the split is not decorative:
Teaching — courses, tests and exams, assignments. Opened daily.
People — groups, students, webinars, chat.
School — certificates, invoices, settings. Opened monthly, and only by the owner and admins.
The dashboard belongs to the people running the school. A student gets a section of their own instead.
