The radio breakdown

The app listens to the air, recognises the speech on the phone itself and explains what was said, what it means and what to reply.

How to use it

The radio breakdown: air language and live text

1“More → Radio”, or the quick button on “Today”. Channel 16 is in the header.

2Choose the language of the air: EN-GB, EN-US or RU-RU.

3Press the round button and hold the phone to the radio’s speaker. The text appears as it goes.

4Press again — the app stops recording and hands the text to the assistant.

What the breakdown holds

Three cards: what was said (with a transcription), the translation and reply like this — a ready line you can read out on air. Beside them is an honest caveat: radio recognition is imprecise because of noise, compression and accents, so check by meaning and ask again with “Say again slowly, please”.

If recognition is not available

Speech is recognised on the device — only the text goes to the server. If there is no engine (an older system), permission has not been granted or the air language is not installed on the phone, the screen says so directly and offers By text: type what you heard, even in fragments — the breakdown will be the same.

The breakdown by the assistant needs a connection. The section opens with an activation code.
